CSA Membership Agreement

CSA Agreement: Community Supported Agriculture (CSA) is a partnership of mutual commitment between a community of supporters (CSA members) and a Farm, which creates a direct link between the production and consumption of food.

A CSA member makes a commitment to cover a farm’s yearly operating budget and support the farm throughout the season by purchasing a share of the season’s harvest and thus assumes the costs, risks, and bounty of growing food. In return, the farm provides, to the best of its ability, a healthy supply of seasonal fresh produce throughout the growing season.

CSA membership creates a responsible relationship between people and the food they eat, the land on which it is grown, and those who grow it. Any unclaimed shares will be forfeited.
The Membership Subscription fee entitles the member to receive weekly harvest shares from the farm for a total of 30 weeks: every Saturday from May 24-December 13.
Harvest shares: The Farm will provide the member with a selection of seasonal crops available from the orchard gardens when they are harvest in season, including, but not limited to: acorn squash, arugula, basil, beans, beets, bok choi, broccoli, brussels sprouts, butternut squash, cabbage, cantaloupes, carrots, cauliflower, celery, cilantro, collard greens, corn, daikon radish, delicata squash, dill, eggplant, honeydew, kale, lettuces, napa cabbage, onions, peppers (sweet and hot), potatoes, pumpkins, radishes, rosemary, rutabaga, scallion onions, spinach, squash, sunflowers, sweet potatoes, tomatoes, turmeric, turnips, watermelons, winter squash, zucchini.
In the event of unforeseen circumstances (e.g. weather events, crop failure, etc.), the Farm will make reasonable efforts to provide adequate substitution for any harvest shares that cannot be delivered.
Liability: The Farm shall not be held liable for any injuries or damages incurred while picking up or handling the harvest shares. Members participate at their own risk.

FAQS

What is a CSA?

CSA stands for Community Supported Agriculture. It's a business/farming model where the consumer has a part in the success of the farm. The customer becomes a member of the CSA. The membership fee paid up front helps cover the costs of running the farm: seeds, plants, saplings, labor, fuel, etc. In return, the member gets a weekly box of the harvest share at a discounted price for the 30 weeks of harvest.

How much does it cost to become a member?

Membership costs $1200. That comes out to $40/week for the 30 weeks of harvest. Considering the cost of conventional produce, this is a great deal--Local, sustainably, and regeneratively farmed produce. (There is a processing fee if you choose to pay online with a card--You can also mail in a check (or cash) with your application to the farm address, or make arrangements to drop off your application (please text/email to schedule a time)
